Equine physiotherapy

With over 20yrs experience in equine therapy, working with both pleasure riders to top level professional riders, Pippa Winkworth (MSc Vet Phys) can offer a high standard of veterinary physiotherapy care. She is Co-Chair of(National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists - NAVP, and full member of IRVAP & RAMP.

Her background as a horse trainer, specialising in difficult & performance horses, gives her a unique view point when assessing horses.

As an MSc Veterinary Physiotherapist, We use manual techniques and where appropriate electrotherapy modalities (with proven efficacy), such as a Low Level Laser & H-wave (& many more). Veterinary Physiotherapy techniques are used to reduce pain, assist tissue healing (post injury / surgery) & improve joint function & performance.

By law (the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966), Veterinary Physiotherapists are required to gain consent/referral for remedial conditions (when your vet is currently treating your animal for a condition), which can be done by using the, ‘Remedial Consent Form’. This will also be required when you are intending to make an insurance claim. Each insurance policy is different - please check that physiotherapy is covered with your insurance company before booking any appointments. You can either print of the ‘printable version’ or direct your vet to this website to complete the digital version by emailing the link https://www.cambridgevetphysio.com/equine-physiotherapy .
